Manfreight has taken delivery of the first batch of its new Volvo FH Aero trucks, signalling the beginning of a major fleet expansion set for 2025. The arrival of these vehicles at the company’s state-of-the-art temperature-controlled facility in Belfast Harbour marks a significant step forward in Manfreight’s sustainability and innovation journey.
Equipped with the latest in aerodynamic design and low-emission technology, the Volvo FH Aero is engineered for fuel efficiency and reduced environmental impact. Compared to previous models, these trucks offer a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions, supporting Manfreight’s long-term goal of operating a more environmentally responsible fleet.
The investment in new-generation vehicles underscores Manfreight’s strategy to lead from the front in sustainable logistics. By modernising its fleet, the company aims to enhance both environmental performance and service delivery across its UK and Ireland operations.
Chris Slowey, Managing Director at Manfreight, commented:
"The Volvo FH Aero reflects everything we value – innovation, reliability, and a clear focus on sustainability. This marks just the beginning of what will be a transformative year for our fleet and our operations.”
The delivery was made possible through Manfreight’s continued partnership with Dennison Commercials, who supplied the vehicles.
Further additions to the Manfreight fleet are planned throughout the year, as the business continues to invest in technologies that reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and uphold the highest standards in temperature-controlled logistics.
Stay tuned for more updates as the 2025 fleet expansion continues.
