Manfreight is delighted to announce its continued partnership with the Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Junior Sports Awards 2026, returning as headline sponsor for the fifth consecutive year.

The annual awards, organised by the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon Sports Forum in partnership with ABC Council, celebrate the achievements of young athletes, teams, coaches, and volunteers across the borough. The awards recognise individuals aged 18 and under who have demonstrated exceptional talent, commitment, and dedication within their chosen sports.

As a company with deep roots in the local community, Manfreight remains committed to supporting initiatives that create opportunities, inspire young people, and celebrate the positive impact of sport.

Chris Slowey, Managing Director at Manfreight, said:

"At Manfreight, we recognise that sport changes lives regardless of background, social standing or even your chosen sport. Whether through individual aptitude or effective teamwork, sport provides an avenue for opportunity. We proudly embrace this opportunity and appreciate the wide range of skills that sports participation can offer individuals throughout their lives – we are delighted to be supporting the Armagh, Banbridge & Craigavon Junior Sports Awards for the fifth consecutive year."

The launch event was hosted at Manfreight’s Portadown headquarters, where the company was delighted to welcome Lord Mayor Councillor Mary O’Dowd, Denise Watson, and Edith Jamison to mark the beginning of this year’s awards programme. It was also a privilege to welcome the newly appointed Lord Mayor during one of her first official engagements in the role.

The continued partnership reflects Manfreight’s belief in the importance of grassroots sport and the valuable role it plays in building confidence, teamwork, resilience, and lifelong skills among young people.

Manfreight looks forward to celebrating the achievements of talented young athletes, coaches, and volunteers from across the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon borough at the 2026 awards ceremony.
