Manfreight was pleased to welcome Tom Southall, Deputy CEO of the Cold Chain Federation, to its state-of-the-art chilled warehouse facility in Belfast this week. The visit provided an excellent opportunity to share the Manfreight journey and highlight the innovations shaping the company’s path toward sustainable logistics.

During the visit, Tom was given an in-depth look at the facility’s advanced infrastructure and the strategic investments made under Manfreight’s ambitious Net Zero 2030 Strategy. These include:

Solar Power – Harnessing renewable energy to power the facility
Water-Cooled Refrigeration Systems – Enhancing efficiency and reducing environmental impact
Heat Recovery Systems – Repurposing waste energy to improve overall sustainability
Smart Control Hydronic Cooling – Using intelligent systems to optimise energy consumption

The visit underscored Manfreight’s commitment to setting new standards in the temperature-controlled logistics sector through environmentally responsible operations and cutting-edge technologies.
