Manfreight has expanded its warehousing footprint in Northern Ireland with the £9m acquisition of a 100,000 sq ft ambient storage facility in Belfast, bolstering its multi-site logistics network across the UK and Ireland. The purchase, supported by Danske Bank UK, marks a significant step in the company’s continued investment in scalable, customer-focused supply chain solutions.
Operating from its headquarters in Craigavon, Manfreight has grown into one of the region’s most progressive logistics providers, delivering integrated warehousing, distribution, and supply chain operations across the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe. This latest acquisition reflects the company’s commitment to building a resilient, flexible, and technology-enabled logistics platform.
Located on Duncrue Street, the new facility offers more than 12,000 standard pallet spaces (or 15,000 Euro pallets) and the capability to process over 1,050 pallets per day. Designed to support the storage and distribution of dry freight, the site complements Manfreight’s state-of-the-art chilled facility at Belfast Harbour and its temperature-controlled operation in Skelmersdale, further strengthening its BRCGS-accredited warehousing network.
Supported by end-to-end digital tracking and real-time visibility, the investment addresses increasing customer demand for efficient, connected storage and distribution solutions. The acquisition reinforces Manfreight’s strategy of maintaining full control over the movement, storage, and handling of goods—ensuring consistency, reliability, and transparency across every stage of the supply chain.
Chris Slowey, Managing Director of Manfreight, said:
“The key to Manfreight’s success is our ability to combine speed to market with scalability and highly bespoke levels of service across every sector we operate in.
This warehouse acquisition has been driven by demand from customers who want one continuous line of data in their supply chain. We own and operate our own fleet, and acquiring this facility means we can continue to maintain full control over our distribution, transportation and storage of our customers’ goods. We are grateful to Danske Bank for their support on this latest step in our journey.”
Mark Brown from Danske Bank added:
“Manfreight is an ambitious local business which is continually investing in its end-to-end logistics offering. Danske Bank is pleased to support Manfreight with its growth strategy and we look forward to seeing the business continue to thrive and expand its services.”
